MY WORD IS MY BOND — UNTIL IT ISN'T
More Than A T-Shirt
This shirt wasn't created by a marketing team. It was created by a small business owner who knows what it's like to lose everything and start again.
After losing everything in a previous business venture, Gary Berman started over at the age of 55 with no investors, no funding and no experience in the fashion industry.
What he did have was determination. More than ten years later, drøm is still here. Still independent. Still Australian owned. Still growing.
Like thousands of small business owners across the country, Gary has faced rising costs, economic uncertainty and countless challenges along the way. Most recently, he continued building the business while battling cancer, showing up every day because that's what small business owners do. They keep going.
Following the recent Federal Budget announcement and proposed changes impacting Australians who have spent decades building assets for their future, Gary felt compelled to speak up. Not as a politician. Not as an activist. But as a small business owner.
The result was the MY WORD IS MY BOND — UNTIL IT ISN'T shirt.
A simple statement that reflects a growing frustration felt by many Australians when commitments are made and later changed.
For Gary, this shirt represents something bigger than politics. It represents trust. It represents accountability. And it represents the millions of Australians who take risks, create jobs, support local communities and work tirelessly to build something for themselves and their families.
Small businesses are not disposable. The people behind them aren't either.
When you wear this shirt, you're supporting Australian small business and helping amplify the voices of those who often feel unheard.
This is more than a shirt. It's a conversation. It's a statement. And it's a reminder that words still matter.
